New user from Spain says hello!

Hello!

I'm been using Xfce for a week now. I installed Debian with KDE one year ago but I was looking for a feature that they don't intend to include. My first idea was LXDE, that I had some contact with, but run into some problems and, almost accidentally, found that Xfce has most everything I need. Very happy so far!

It's been a bumpy ride because I had to install GNOME desktop next to LXDE so the laptop wifi could work... so many installs from scratch that I lost account and when I finally added Xfce, it was on top of the others, so the menu has a mix of applications that's a little confusing: not sure what I can uninstall without breaking something because, as far as I understand, Xfce depends on some GNOME facilities.

I'm very impressed with Thunar. It's the best file manager that I have used in any OS  cool

Still figuring out how to setup custom icons for desktop folders (I've seen there's a thumbnailer config that does that) and automatic positioning (devilspie2) but all the rest is exactly right.

So just dropped by to say hello and thank you to all the people that makes this possible.

Best Regards,

   Nico
