How to hide pulseaudio icon from taskbar?

Hi,

Is it possible to hide the xfce4-pulseaudio-plugin icon from the taskbar?

I can't disable it in the panel settings, because the operation of this applet is necessary to use the function keys on the keyboard (volume change).

Doesn't seem to be a configurable way of hiding it. How about creating another small panel, setting it to always hide, and putting the pulseaudio plugin on that panel?

BTW, welcome to the forum.

Thanks, this is brilliant in its simplicity! Already done and working.
