Loosing focus on new windows and follow mouse focus model

Hi,

I'm using the settings

Focus model [x] Focus follow mouse
New window focus [x] Automatically give focus to newly created windows
Raise on focus [ ] Automatically raise windows when thy receive focus
Raise on click [x] Raise window when clicking inside application window

I often have issues when a new windows pops up and should get focus but looses focus.

This is very annoying when I have a shortcut for my clipboard manager:

Keyboard->Application shortcuts-> Ctrl+Alt+V "copyq show clipboard"

How to reproduce:
When the new window is created under the mouse pointer, it works. Usually it also works when repeating the action on the same screen without having the new window under the mouse pointer. But when I move the pointer to another screen, let's say on the left half of the screen and the new window is always created on the right half, then the new window is not receiving focus and I can control it without moving the pointer to that window. It feels like being a bug, can someone reproduce?

Re: Loosing focus on new windows and follow mouse focus model

I questions these two settings.

Focus model [x] Focus follow mouse
New window focus [x] Automatically give focus to newly created windows

If the mouse is not on the new window then where is the focus? On the window or following the mouse?

Re: Loosing focus on new windows and follow mouse focus model

The focus is then on the window below the mouse. I would understand if that window gets focussed when moving the mouse, but not intially.
First I thought I might have triggered the mouse somehow when pressing the shortcut. But I reproduced and disabled the wireless mouse temporarilly.

The feauture only works as expected when doing it without switching the screen on a multi-screen setup. I press the shortcut, the window opens right, my mouse is left. The new window has the focus and also keeps focus when moving the mouse from the background window to the new created window. Then it only looses focus when leaving the window again with the mouse pointer. That is the behaviour as I would expect it.
Doing the same on another screen doesn't work initially. Only for the 2., 3. or following tests until leaving the screen.
Bug?

Btw, I can't reproduce on single screen setups, only on multi-screen setups.

In this case, a bug report is probably best.
