Touchscreen Gestures Not Working Properly on LattePanda with Xfce4

I'm hoping to get some assistance with a touchscreen issue on a LattePanda board running Xubuntu20.04.6 LTS (XFCE4 environment). We have a Qt application designed for this setup, but we're encountering a problem:

Issue: The system doesn't fully support touchscreen gestures. The screen displays a cursor, making it appear like a mouse-controlled system. Goal: We want to disable the cursor and enable a full touchscreen experience with gestures for our application.

Constraints: We're working on a Single-Board Computer (SBC) with limited resources. Xubuntu with XFCE4 is preferred due to its lightweight nature. Changing the environment is not an option.

Questions: Are there any configuration options within Xubuntu/XFCE4 to enable full touchscreen functionality and disable the cursor? Are there Qt libraries or settings that can be adjusted within our application to improve touchscreen gesture support? Does anyone have experience with similar setups on LattePanda boards and have solutions to share?

Thanks but we tried this touchegg tool which only provides only multi touch gestures but doesn't gives us full touch functionality in Xfce desktop environment. Please if you could suggest any lightweight OS with a desktop environment that offers better native touchscreen support and also uses low resources similar to xfce desktop environment.

What encompasses "full touch functionality" in your eyes? What is missing when you use touchegg?

There is also fusuma and possibly other utilities as well.

Also, any DE can be made lightweight by stripping it down to its bare essentials. What is your definition of "low resources"?

I'm not sure specifically regarding different DEs and their support for multi-touch gestures, but I think gnome and kde are the two best and the others will need supprot from third-party utilities.

Actually we require finger touch feeling while using the touchscreen display. Currently we are getting mouse pointer while using the touchscreen and the touchscreen is currently giving input just like a mouse touchpad.
By finger touch we mean that our touchscreen display should work like a smartphone touchscreen.
We used touchegg but it just provides 2,3,4 finger gestures only in xfce desktop environment. We also used Fusuma but it also only provides finger gesture.

So the actual problem we are facing is that while using touchscreen it acts as a touchpad and as we touch anywhere on the desktop the mouse pointer appears.

You can use unclutter to hide the cursor on touch events. However, it really sounds like you are looking for a mobile OS.
