Audio stops during session lock

Hi

I have done a clean install of Mint 21.3 with XFCE v 4.18 and would appreciate some help on what happens when the session locks.

If my user session locks (due to xflock4 or power manager/light locker) any audio playing stops - it restarts when I log back in.  How do I get it to continue playing whilst locked? I am sure my previous Mint 20.1 XFCE system (same h/w) continued playing.

I assume PulseAudio suspends but can't see how to control what a session lock does or how to disable the suspend.

I think you have to add your user to the audio group

You system is likely going to sleep or hibernating. Check the settings.

Thanks for the responses.

On the LM forums others have found similar issues https://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.php?t=394048

It seems the light-locker program is causing the problem so I stopped Power Manager from managing the display and starting Light Locker. I then installed xfce4-screensaver as a replacement.  It now works as I want.
