Firefox missing pointer events

I have a weird issue that Firefox sometimes has sticky button icons, pressing a button doesn't release the button and makes it sticky to the cursor until pressing ESC. It feels like Firefox missed the Release event of the mouse button just like dragging an item. This happens more often on older machines and under heavy avg load.
Where should I file a bug report, who is reponsible for these events? I guess it's Xorg? Or could it be Firefox itself or Xfce?

Re: Firefox missing pointer events

Does this happen only with firefox? If so, probably a firefox bug of some sort. Try disabling all extensions to see if that helps (maybe an extension is interfering). Or try using a different browser to confirm.

You might also consider creating a second account on your computer and testing there to rule out a profile issue,

Re: Firefox missing pointer events

Only with firefox, and only under higher loads.
I filed the issue to Mozilla now: https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=1855891
