Is there a way to change the icon as displayed in the Status Tray?
This is not the desktop file icon.

Gigolo appears to use the application icon as the systray icon: https://gitlab.xfce.org/apps/gigolo/-/b … ow.c#L1665.
On my system where the panel height is 26 and the icon theme is Papirus, I changed the "/usr/share/icons/Papirus/24x24/apps/org.xfce.gigolo.svg" with another icon and then ran:
sudo gtk-update-icon-cache /usr/share/icons/Papirus
Restarted gigolo and it used the new icon in the systray.
Caveat: depending on the size you choose and the size of the regular menu icon, you may end up replacing it as well. It might be a good idea to create an enhancement request to ask it to use another icon on the systray.

Alrighty then,
I moved to fast and updated the gigolo.desktop icon line and didn't notice it changed the menu icon only..
I copied these two
/usr/share/icons/gnome/24x24/places/network-workgroup.png
/usr/share/icons/Adwaita/scalable/places/network-workgroup-symbolic.svg
to /usr/share/icons/Adwaita/24x24/apps/org.xfce.gigolo.*
and regenerated the cache, and it works fine for my 36 row size.
Thanks again.
