Hi there,
I was trying to set a background with feh in a script and it does not work. I saw a few posts containing a successfull feh command a few years back, but was wondering if something changed.
env:
both: feh version 3.9.1 and feh version 3.6.3
xfce 4.16 on Debian install
feh --bg-center --xinerama-index 0 ~/Downloads/fishingguy.jpg
feh --bg-center ~/Downloads/fishingguy.jpg
Does it work for anyone?
Which log files would be the the ones I would investigate this in?
Thanks

i am not getting any success, either. i have version 3.3.1 on an older xubuntu with libimlib2 1.6.1-1ubuntu0.1. no output from command on stdout or stderr. a scan of log files has no clue. it does write a new ~/.fehbg file (i junked the previous one i had). no idea what is wrong. i don't really know what video display technology i have.

Hi Skaperen,
Thanks so much for testing this. So definitely an issue just on my system. A pity, as feh did a good job at putting a background and could manage webp files.
