Mousepad titlebar layout

I encountered this sometime ago, and I'm not sure if I broke something while playing with xfconf-query (I wrote a simple script to change title bar layout) or it's a bug. Checked issues on GitLab but didn't see something related (it's possible I'm blind).

Title bars in other programs doesn't have this issue.

Re: Mousepad titlebar layout

I can reproduce this result by playing with the window manager settings, and I have a similar result for other applications, such as Thunar. When I restore the original configuration, all windows follow, including those of Mousepad.

But maybe there is a synchronization problem in your case. What happens if you disable CSD (Preferences -> Window)?

Re: Mousepad titlebar layout

When CSD is disabled, the title bar looks normal. I changed layout with CSD enabled and disabled via window manager, but that doesn't help. Content is changing immediately after I change layout, so there is no issue with synchronization on my side, if I understand you correctly smile

Edit:
I checked this on Manjaro fresh install and CSD in Mousepad have the same issue.

Re: Mousepad titlebar layout

But then what is the problem? big_smile
When you say "Title bars in other programs doesn't have this issue", what do you mean exactly?
Could you provide a screenshot for e.g. Thunar (if it does not have this issue)?

Re: Mousepad titlebar layout

I've posted image in first post, maybe your browser/extension block imgur, or I messed something big_smile

What I mean is, there is an icon in CSD on the left side and when you set the close button (or other) to the left this icon is always first.

Re: Mousepad titlebar layout

I can see the image for Mousepad, the one I asked for Thunar was for comparison, but with your explanation now it's good wink

So you want to see the icon on the right of the left buttons? I don't have much of an opinion aesthetically (I never put a button on the left actually), but it's true that it would be consistent with other Xfce windows (especially CSD).

Could you open a new issue on Gitlab for this, citing this thread? Thanks!

No problem, I'll create an issue, but need a bit of help. How to name it?

Edit:

I figure out something, thanks for your patience smile
