zoom client keyboard shortcuts don't work.

Hi. zoom (meeting app) keyboard shortcuts don't work for me (Centos 8, now AlmaLinux). I've been using zoom for maybe almost a year now and keyboard shortcuts never worked. I always use it as a guest in meetings, without logging in; maybe that's the issue. But I also wonder if it's that they at zoom don't bother much with Xorg (one of the updates, for instance, didn't work once because of missing libx11-composite dependency).
