iphone

I have been tweaking all day to mount my iphone and finally got it so I can see the photos but the folder is owned by root. Then if I go to root thunar the iphone folder doesn't show. It worked fine in xubuntu 18.04 but not in xubuntu 20.04. The only thing I could find is this link at bottom and I am wary of changing the kernel and borking my system. Has anyone got this to work in 20.04? Thank you
Folder is:
gphoto2://Apple_Inc._iPhone_37a0723468b2156a13f8101a6d71a418e5cfee53/DCIM/100CLOUD/
