printer settings

Hello,

This is a question about
Setting Manager -> Print Settings -> Printer properties -> job options

Where can I find a description/help about all this settings there?

For example "Brightness" does not behave as expected. So I do not know, if there is something wrong with my system, if I do miss anything or if I have a wrong expectation about "Brightness".

I couldn't find anything specific, but the dialogue you are referring to is a python application called system-config-printer, and the development have a home at https://github.com/OpenPrinting/system-config-printer. There is a man page, and also, there is some info in the man page for cups.
