Integrate google calendar

I have a genmon in my panel to display the time in my panel. When I click on it the program yad will display a calendar. Simple and efficient ... however, it'd be very nice if I could show my google calendar instead. I don't want to call up my browser to do this since it just opens a new tab. I see that other DEs do have apps that support this option. I thought that maybe orage did this, but I can't see any options.

Any ideas?

Re: Integrate google calendar

orage is no longer being supported or developed. It used to be able to integrate into gmail and it might be hit or miss these days. Here is a similar type request with thunderbird. Orage might be able to do a one-way sync with gmail if you can automate and export an ics file from gmail.

You can start an instance of google chrome or chromium in app mode (no toolbars, no tabs, no url bar). I use genmon and this to bring up my gmail account. To do so, I run this command:

chromium --app="https://gmail.google.com"

Re: Integrate google calendar

Gmail? smile Nope, just calendar .... mind you, I am a big time gmail user.

But, using chrome instead of FF does work nicely:

   chromium --app="https://calendar.google.com/calendar"

Pity, though, that there isn't an easy integration.
