Block internet access to software.
Hello, I would like to know how to block access to the Internet for a very specific software

Not an Xfce question, but hey this is "General Discussion" after all, isn't it? wink

I wonder if you come from MacOS, where the Little Snitch app is very popular, but GNU/Linux alternatives are few and lack the traction of LS.

That said, I just found Douane (referenced in Ubuntu - block internet access to all applications except chosen few), which seems very promising. It calls itself a Gnome app but I think it should work fine in Xfce.

Please follow up with your experience if you give it a try!

Thanks, but that's not what I'm looking for, I just want to block an application!

You can use firejail. Specifically, something like:

firejail --net=none APPLICATION

...where APPLICATION is the name of the application that you want to run without internet access.
