Is it possible to reset a tiled window without manually dragging it?

I enjoy the basic keyboard-driven tiling features in XFWM, such as snapping a window to the left or right half of the workspace.

However, I often want to "un-tile" a window after a period of time. I find that I need to use the mouse to drag the window away from wherever I had snapped it to, and then it will reset. Is there a keyboard shortcut to achieve the same thing? I don't see an obvious option for it in the XFWM settings GUI.

For now, I can quickly maximize the window and then un-maximize it for this effect (by pressing Alt-F10 twice), but this is more of a workaround than a real solution (and it might change one day if this maximization behavior changes).

Hello and welcome.

You need a keyboard shortcut assigned to the "untile" event. You could ask the developer at https://gitlab.xfce.org/xfce/xfwm4/-/issues to see if he can add one.
