Hi,
i have an extra mouse button between my hand and the scroll wheel. This buttons has no function as i can see. Can i map this button to the ALT-key? I can't find anything to that button in the mouse settings.

I believe you can do it with 'xte' from 'xautomation' package.

Or xbindkeys?

I found out that the buttons is not without function. it speeds up the cursor of the mouse. But i don't see that in the mouse settings. When i tape twice on that button the cursor is very fast but the settings are the same as when the cursor is slow. I don't need that. Also taping on the scroll wheel seems to insert data from the clipboard. Can i disable this mouse shortcuts and create my own?
