Using Chromium under Xubuntu 20.04.
Is it possible to group directories in the file open / file saving dialog of Chromium first?
I.e. I want all the dirs grouped, and then the files.
Right now they are just all mixed.
Applies to many other programs file open/save dialog too.

That is a gtk setting. First close Chromium and then run:
gsettings set org.gtk.Settings.FileChooser sort-directories-first true
Directories will then be sorted first.

Thasnks ToZ! Is this something I should ideally do in my .bashrc, or I set it once and it will persist after reboot?

Set it once and it should persist.
