In thunar I want that my files are sorted after names. But in one of my folders I want to sort my files according to date.
So this means, I want to have different sort rules for different folders permanent.
Question:
Is this somehow possible in thunar?
Thank you.

I'm not aware of a way to change the order when "View as Icons" is used.
Sorting is only possible if you're in "Detailed" mode.
Open Thunar and from the menu select: View -> View as Detailed List (Ctrl + 2)
After selecting this, the view will change and you'll see a list of files. Above the list there's "Name", "Size", "Type", "Date modified".
You can click on the "Date modified" column and the file list will be sorted accordingly.
You can use "Ctrl + 1" and "Ctrl + 2" to quickly switch between the different view modes whenever you want to see the files sorted by date.
I know this doesn't directly solve your problem but I hope it's helpful anyway
Edit: I just noticed that while I'm in "Detailed List" mode and change the sort order, then go back to "View as Icons" mode, the new sorting order remains. The only drawback is that the new order is applied everywhere.

This feature is coming soon (will be released in 4.15.2 and be ready for 4.16).

This covers (in general) what I just posted as a 'wish for'. My request was that for desktop icons this information be retained for each icon. So I'm re-wishing
