Lock screen?

Help me, I don't know what I'm doing, lul.

I customized the lock button so it takes me to my nice webkit2 lightdm greeter. However, when I close the lid, I'm greeted with I'm not sure what. Either it is a lightdm's gtk greeter or it is something that is build into xfce.

I would light ultimately to go to my webkit greeter when I close the lid? Can I do that?

(a better twist on this, would be for me to have another webkit2 theme, so that my lock screen is different from my login screen, possible?)

Re: Lock screen?

You seeing the screen savers lock screen.

Settings>>Screen-saver>>Lock -Screen

You can set it up to not lock the screen or log you out.

Re: Lock screen?

I see. That threw me off, because I haven't installed xscreensaver yet,. Must be xfce screen saver.

Is there a way to run a command when XFCE lock event occurs?  I'd like it to execute lightdm's switch user command, not log off, but switch user, that way I'm at login screen and session is still active.

Re: Lock screen?

Settings>>Screensaver>>Lockscreen
There are some options for logout and switch user but I think there is a bug right now. I  would need to find it.

Either configure or modify the xflock4 script;

If you want to do something on an unlock event, you could check out dbus-monitor;
