xfce-4.4.3 trying to download one icon theme

Just one,

There are lots of themes, but none can be extracted to ~/.icons and works.

4.4.3 is about 17 years old. Are you sure this is the version you are using?

And can you provide some more information:
- which icon theme are you trying to use
- what does the theme look like when extracted? The file structure.

This one, when i tried it in home directory, it worked. Except some buttons
On titlebar Misplaced.

But now, after reinstall system, the window frames including titlebar has been cut off.

and post back the result?

Well, I was looking for your Version info... Try

xfdesktop --version

You should see something like:

This is xfdesktop version 4.14.2, running on Xfce 4.14.
Built with GTK+ 3.22.30, linked with GTK+ 3.22.30.

This is xfdesktop version 4.4.3, running on Xfce 4.4.3.
Built with GTK+ 2.14.7, linked with GTK+ 2.14.7.
Build options:
    Desktop Menu:        enabled
    Desktop Icons:       enabled
    Desktop File Icons:  enabled

~# uname -a
Linux darkstar 3.17.6 #4 SMP Sat Mar 7 07:46:50 HongKong 2020 x86_64 GNU/Linux

I (very vaguely) remember Xfce 4.4. If you could upgrade to at least version 4.10, you would likely find several new features and - more importantly - fixed bugs. It is up to version 4.14.something now, but is also now using GTK3 which may or may not be to your liking.

Looks like you're using an OS that was released in 2008. It might be a good time to try something newer.
