How to edit menu icon properties

Hi everybody,
Is there a tutorial on how to modify the icon properties in the menu at the bottom right? (4 icons, all settings, lock screen, switch users, log out) In particular, when I click on log out it logs me out. It is suppose to open a window with the options: suspend, shutdown, hibernate.. That window is gone! Menu Editor does not seem to have the ability to edit the icon properties. I am on linux lite 4.6 with xfce4-whiskermenu-plugin 2.14
Thanks for replying.

Re: How to edit menu icon properties

Right-click the whiskermenu and choose Properties. On the "Commands" tab, you will see which commands are associated with those actions.

In particular, when I click on log out it logs me out. It is suppose to open a window with the options: suspend, shutdown, hibernate.

Make sure that the "Log out..." option is checked and that the command is "xfce4-session-logout" - no parameters. You might have "Logout" (without the ...) or shutdown selected which are fast action events.

Menu Editor does not seem to have the ability to edit the icon properties.

Which menu editor is listed on the commands tab above?
If by "icon properties" you mean to change the icon, and if the menu editor is menulibre, just click the picture of the icon in the menulibre application and you will have the option to change it.
