Hi,
installation of Xfce on CentOS used to be as simple as:
sudo yum -y install epel-release
sudo yum -y groupinstall Xfce
Unfortunately, with CentOS 8, this no longer works. (Perhaps, because the EPEL people need to catch up.)
Is anyone aware of any porting efforts? Other suggestions, how I might get this working? (I am running this on a VM, that I am quite happy to destroy, if necessary.)
Thanks,
Jochen

If you can't find an answer it might be worth asking on the Fedora Xfce mailing list as it was the Fedora Xfce team members who provided it for Centos in the past. https://lists.fedoraproject.org/archive … oject.org/

That is an unofficial repo and better to use an official one if possible, unless you know the people involved.

I don't - I just happened to see the thread right after reading yours. If it helped, it would have helped but if it didn't help, then it didn't help.
