Hello!
I'm using Thinkpad s440 and installed Ubuntu 18.04.3 LTS.
I find problem..
When I use the laptop and close the cover and open it again after a while, the screen does not come back.
It's still a black screen state and all keys except the power button don't respond.
Remember that I had this problem before!
But still the same.
Is there a solution to this?
As a person who likes xfce, I hope this solves the problem.
Thanks! 고마워

Hello and welcome.
I think that Light Locker is the culprit here, there were many similar reports and I had this issue on my systems also. You can safely replace Light Locker with gnome-screensaver (looks nice) or xscreensaver (lightweight). There's also new xfce4-screensaver, but you'd need to add PPA and upgrade to Xfce 4.14 to make it work, so more trouble.
If you want to try my solution run:
sudo apt remove light-locker
sudo apt install PACKAGE
…where PACKAGE is gnome-screensaver or xscreensaver. It should work right away, but if not, try rebooting your laptop.
Some say that a workaround for your issue is to change tty on that black screen (for example Ctrl+Alt+F2) and then go back to tty7 (Ctrl+Alt+F7). But it's better to change the locker permanently in my opinion.

I'm glad that it worked for you. (We're referring to this thread: When the notebook cover is opened, screen is black). I also think that this forum has an awesome community, they've helped me a lot of times, so I try to help others too when I can.
Yes, this bug will be fixed in Xubuntu 19.10 fortunately, since light-locker will be replaced with xfce4-screensaver.
Thanks!
