i really want to get into GUI programming

being an old (retired) command line and assembly language curmudgeon it sure seems odd that i really want to get into GUI programming (and listen to music like https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SMJ7pxqk5d4) and (already) do Python3 programming (did lots in Rexx and C but skipped Lisp. C++, and Perl).  one of my ideas is a way to create code graphically without any typing.  another is a cloud based Mandelbrot explorer program.  and, yes, i am into cloud stuff (IaaS) and am wondering how to boost Desktop experience with it.
