keyboard shortcuts feature suggestion

i would like to have a means that can be activated by one keystroke that feeds in multiple keystrokes in sequence, even with optional timing between them.  one way to do this is to provide a pipe to the process that gets invoked which that process can write input that will go to where keyboard input goes.
