Hello,
I'd like to "Request For Comments" on my suggestion.
Suggestion:
Logout screen / window focusses "Cancel"-button by default.
Current behaviour:
When logout window appears "Logout" button is focussed by default.
Reason for Suggestion:
Logout window might be triggered automatically. This happens on battery using devices when battery is too low.
If this happens while writing text where the space bar is in heavy usage, the system will log the user out against the actual will of the user.
Regards

IMHO, in this case, it should have no focus. i don't know if that is possible. it could also be bad (not as bad as a logout) for it to pop up the be cancelled, losing a few keystrokes.

You mean "no buttons are focussed", right? So pressing arrow keys are tab will start moving the focus around?
Or do you mean "make it impossible to control via keyboard".
As in very rare situations the mouse might be a problem as well, a reaction time might be worth to implement:
- Within 1 second of the dialog, no button can be pressed. Except if the dialog was opened throught the menu (on purpose by the user).

what i mean is that nothing is focused and you have to explicitly click on what you want to be focused. keys that normally always move focus around can be left to do that.
i like that reaction time delay. maybe a delayed focus could work.

Created a bug report and a patch (at least regarding the keyboard).
Implementing is timeout after powermanager having triggered the dialog is not yet doable for me.
