Hi, I was wondering if there's any way for the alt+tab dialog to group all windows of the same application into one icon instead of having multiple windows shown. For example mousepad file1, mousepad file2, firefox window 1, firefox window 2 would simply be shown as mousepad and firefox in the alt+tab dialog. If there isn't it'd be great to have an option in the sittings to do so.

As far as I know there's no way to do that. I found an old feature request in Bugzilla, not much more.
My pet peeve with Alt+Tab is that I still expect it to include the desktop, surely an artifact from my Windows XP days...
Well, sorry I couldn't help with this one; still, welcome to the forum!

That's a bugger. Given how there's window grouping in the xfce panel I had hoped such an option existed. Thanks for the reply tho.

@juky That's the Window Buttons panel plugin, but we're discussing the Alt+Tab window cycling:
OP would like an option here saying "Group all windows of the same application into one icon" or something to that effect.
