xfwm4 switching to an application on different workspace does not work

Hi,

I enabled cycle through windows on all workspaces and now I see the following

For example, say that I have the following applications running:

workspace 1:
- firefox

workspace 2:
- firefox
- mousepad

workspace 3:
- thunar

If I'm on workspace 1 with firefox in focus and try to switch to mousepad using alt-tab I will get to workspace 2, but it will be firefox in focus. If I switch to thunar instead, it will work. It seems the pattern is that if there is a window of an app from which I'm switching present at the workspace of the target window the focus will workspaces are switched but the focus remains in the target app, only with a new window.

Hope it makes sense. I wonder if it is a bug, or I do something wrong. I even tried rofi for window switching, but it is the same behavior.

I'm using manjaro 17 with xfwm4 4.12.5-1

Hello and welcome.

I can't seem to replicate this bug. Can you post back all of your xfwm4 settings?

xfconf-query -c xfwm4 -lv

Maybe there is another setting that is interfering.
