When i insert my usb into the computer thunar will not show on the screen. How do i fix this.

do you have thunar-volman installed? Did you enable the appropiate options?
Mount removable drives when hot-plugged
Enable this option to automatically mount removable drives (e.g., external hard drives or USB sticks) when such drives are plugged into the computer. This option must be enabled in order for most of the other options in this dialog to work with removable drives. For example, if this option is unchecked, Browse removable media when inserted will be ignored.

What distro(s) are you using?

It seems to be a bit flakey, or it might be related to your computer. On mine, my external won't mount automagically although it shows up in Thunar. When I start the computer, I have to remember to open Thunar and click on the drive other wise apps that depend on files on it tend to misbehave.

Make sure the Thunar Daemon is running on startup:
Thunar --daemon
