HUD commandline?

Hi

Can anybody recommend a setting or an utility to get a HUD commandline with a shortcut key, like Alt+F2 does in KDE and Cinnamon?

Re: HUD commandline?

by default it should open the xfce applications finder

http://docs.xfce.org/_media/xfce/xfce4- … lapsed.png

however you could use:
Albert(best i have found yet): https://github.com/albertlauncher/albert
synapse: https://launchpad.net/synapse-project

and there are many more: https://www.slant.co/topics/3945/~linux-app-launchers

I'm not sure what that is. Since we have displays, I'd guess the term "HUD" to be redundant. And I equate "command line" with terminal. If you do, too, try pressing Ctrl Alt t (together). This opens a terminal on my system, even when the focus is on my web browser (I just verified this whilst typing this post).
