Hi XFCE folks,
XFCE is a great OS! However, it does have a few quirks. One of these quirks is how Thunar handles directories opened from the desktop or from the launcher panel with the "Places" add-on . A separate window, a new instance, is opened for each directory, meaning that clicking "Open All' on five directories on the Desktop will open five windows of Thunar, instead of five tabs.
I created a one-window-per-workspace bash script for Thunar. I go into detail of what this small script does as will as provide a downloadable file in my recently posted tutorial at Linux Mint's forum:

Hopefully, you will find it helpful.

I just went through the recover your password email loop so that I could login and thank ToZ for this kind and thorough response.
This is the best of open source and sharing and I had to admire and acknowledge it.
Thank you, ToZ. Just beautiful.
EDIT: I meant to post this in response to a different thread. Over here it looks sarcastic -- I apologize.
