No bold text in terminal?

I have recently installed Fedora 25 XFCE spin. In xfce4-terminal, Bold text won't appear (eg. when listing files and directories). The option for bold text is enabled in preferences, and I have cross-checked the same in dconf-editor.
I have tried 'Monospace' and 'Dejavu Sans mono book' font, but bold text won't appear on both.

Version: xfce4-terminal 0.8.1 (Xfce 4.12)
