Thunar emblems icons not loading under MacOS sierra macports

I installed thunar file browser through macports. Everything works fine only the icons are missing. Ive tried lot of stuff but still cant get it to work.

I don't have any experience with MacPorts, but I can make the following general recommendations:

Make sure you have the necessary icon themes installed. You'll need at least the hicolor icon theme and possibly the gnome icon theme.

You'll also need to be able to set them some way if your not running xfsettingsd. One way is to create a .gtkrc-2.0 hidden file in your home directory with the following content:

gtk-icon-theme-name = "YOUR_ICON_THEME"

,,,like "gnome" or "hicolor" or whatever gtk-compatible icon theme you are using.
