XFCE 4.12 - Moving icons on desktop - weird behaviour

Hello,

I've encountered weird behaviour of XFCE 4.12 - selecting many icons and trying to move them results in breaking their original order.

I'm using Manjaro Linux with 4.7.3 kernel.

Is there any fix planned or is it designed behaviour?

That is how it is coded now. From the comments in the code:

/* 1: Remove all the icons that are going to be moved from
         *    the desktop. That's in case the icons being moved
         *    want to rearrange themselves there.
         * 2: We need to move the icon that's being dragged since the
         *    user explicitly wants to drop it in that spot.
         * 3: We just append all the other icons in any spot that's
         *    open. */

There is this existing bug report.

Okay, thank you for the information. Don't know if have the skills to fix it, but if I do then I'll send a patch for it.
