What about an "xfce4-network-manager"?

Hi. I was wondering why doesn't exist an "official" xfce network manager. I'm recently trying gnome and I was impressed how it's easy to connect to a network and check the status by looking in the corner and the Wi-Fi icon fits perfectly in the environment. While in xfce I had to install "wicd" and "wavelan" plugin to do this (I installed xfce by "apt-get install xfce4", the "core" version). Maybe is not a huge problem, but it could be very comfortable have a single program.
