Minimizing window leads to desktop icon - how to stop this.
When I minimise a program I get a temporary desktop icon of the minimised program. how do I get rid of this? didn't know what to google.

Settings Manager > Desktop > Icons tab. Change the "Icon Type" in the "Appearance" section away from "minimized application icons".
