remove name from panel
My top panel has all the menus, shortcuts, indicator, etc and is always quite full. I could gain a lot of space by removing or editing my full name from the action buttons item. Is there a way to do this? To clarify, similar to choosing icon only for places and applications rather than name and icon? I found methods for unity but not xubuntu

If you right click on the Actions Buttons and change to appearance from Session Menu to Action Buttons your name won't appear.
