Isn't this a distro-specific question to be answered on the appropriate forum? Or by following any of the various hits with a web search on "XFCE4 on DragonFlyBSD" such as:

It really has nothing to do with Xfce itself as far as I can see...
MX-23 (based on Debian Stable) with our flagship Xfce 4.18.
