I would like to propose a new feature for Mailwatch that many other mail monitoring program have. I would like the ability for Mailwatch to distinguish between a mailbox containing mail that has and has not been seen. If there is new unseen mail, then it notifies in one manner (displays the "New Mail" icon and runs the new mail action) but if there is mail in the box that has been seen (i.e. predates the last time the mail program was launched by Mailwatch) then it displays an icon different from either the normal or new mail icons.
Is commenting on this here sufficient or should this be submitted somewhere else?

Do you mean xfce4-mailwatch-plugin? If so, the general suggestion about Xfce and Xfce-related components is to submit at
bugzilla.xfce.com
but the xfce4-mailwatch-plugin page at
https://www.spurint.org/projects/xfce4-mailwatch-plugin/
states that development discussion should take place on the Xfce Development Mailing List. Note: The link to said mailing list at the aforementioned website is nonfunctional . You can find it - along with links to all the other official Xfce email lists, here:
https://mail.xfce.org/mailman/listinfo/
However, in typical one-hand-does-not-know-what-the-other-is-doing, the web page at
http://goodies.xfce.org/projects/panel-plugins/xfce4-mailwatch-plugin#contributions
states that development discussion should take place on the Xfce Goodies Development Mailing List. Your guess is as good as, and possibly better than, mine.

MDM: Thanks for all the useful info. I'll subscribe to the goodies list and post it there.
