It'd be nice if the battery percentage (I'm not real interested in "time remaining," since my laptop is not always doing the same tasks at the same screen brightness with the same CPU usage/speed, so it's about as accurate (methinks) as the nearest palm reader) was just a straightforward option in the applet's preferences.
It'd also be nice if I could make it display an outline of a battery with the percentage inside, instead of (IMHO) having to waste space by displaying both a percentage and a separate graphical representation of the battery. If the percentage shows 100%, I don't need a picture of a full battery; if the percentage is 50%, I don't need to see a picture of a ½-full one, either. Plus, if I could place the percentage inside the battery, not having anything else but the percentage and the outline would make the percentage much more readable.

MDM
