Re: SEARCH - FIND - files at Thunar

To add catfish in thunar context menu, open Edit>custom actions and add  a new item. The right command is:

catfish --fileman=thunar --hidden --path=%f

Of course, catfish must be installed

Re: SEARCH - FIND - files at Thunar

Probably Catfish is more adequate (GTK2) but I use gnome-search-tool for that.
My custom action for it is:

Icon: system-search
Name: Se_arch Here
Command: gnome-search-tool --path=%F
Description: Search files
Patterns: *
File type: directories

Re: SEARCH - FIND - files at Thunar

Hello secipolla.

Thank you so much for this hint.

i've tried catfish - not working, i've tried a couple of scripts provided by different forums - not one is working...

but my well known and loved gnome-search works like a charm.
in the ubuntu software center the description says: "lightweight but slow".
i can't see where it is slow?!?!

Cheers to you mate...

Andi
