Thunar slow opening fix
I think I have fixed the Thunar slow opening problem, I noticed Thunar opened as root fast, so figuring it was a permission issue , I opened Thunar, clicked File > Properties>Permissions> then set my group to have read&write permissions .......
so far now Thunar opens quick ........ I hope this works for others having that issue .

If Thunar is opening slow you should try deleting the thumbnail cache, rm -r ~/.thumbnails
