Hi everybody here and congratulations to etnlWings for his desktop..
I would like to know, if possible, where to find the backdrops of your screenshot and similar of the same author, if any.. It seems something like mattahan' style.. but maybe I'm in error..
And what about the theme? I like very much the dark one, but I can't sill find one that suites my wishes at all.. yea, maybe it's impossible, you're right..!
Anyway, just to try, I'll post my first desktop screenshot in absolute.. So please be patient when you'll think that it's not well done at all.. And remember, too, that I used only slackware's console commands to make all!, even polarize and resize the big screenshot to the smaller one, which I've done just to give you an idea..
OK, that's all, I think.. Oh, yes, excuse for my english, naturally.. I hope it sounds understandable..
Goodbye, and see you soon!, I hope!!

Hi..
I don't know if somebody have yet noticed it - is this thread still alive? - but it seems that the given images links doesn't work at all.. I don't why, I don't have the time to see where the problem is..
So I've uploaded again the images with ImageShack: I hope all is working, now..
Bye men, sorry for my error!, very sad for this!!

Wow, I'm impressed man! Could you tell us details about GTK, icons and fonts? You did a wonderful job. Also, what's that nitrogen app?
Thinking better at it, I will tell you that you could have come up with a better wallpaper, because everything is incredibly good, while the wallpaper is only good

sorry about the delay mate. the gtk theme is crazy mothafucka, available at deviantart. icons are from the sunfesta icon theme, available at gnome-look. the application font is cure, from artwiz font package, and the terminal font is terminus. nitrogen is a background setting tool. dnd yeah the wallpaper, i will post another screen with another wallpaper later. thanks for your comments again.

Thank you. Yes it's that cairo-patch for real transparency. The patch is for version 4.4.3 but I was able to adjust it a bit to work for 4.6 version.
The patch (written for the 4.4.3 version): http://www.loculus.nl/xfce/files/panel- … 0125.patch
What I did was I downloaded the source code for both the 4.4.3 and 4.6.1 version of the xfce4-panel. Then I opened the patch up with mousepad, and I found the 5 different files that are needed to be patched by the patch.
They are:
xfce-panel-external-plugin.c
xfce-panel-internal-plugin.c
separator.c
xfce-panel-window.c
xfce-panel-external-item.c
Then open up the source of both the 4.4.3 and 4.6.1 xfce4-panel and find those 5 files in each version. Then I would open each file up side by side using the gnome app 'Meld' so I could see where it is written different.
So knowing that the patch worked perfectly for version 4.4.3 all I had to do was compare the 4.4.3 and 4.6.1 files and see where I would have to place the same patch. Then I edited and added each patch to the 4.6.1 file, saved it, and repacked the source into a tar.bz2 so I could use a PKGBUILD (in Archlinux) to build the app.
The only file that I was unable to patch was the xfce-panel-external-item.c file and it seems that I didn't need it (I know that's not proper skills but until someone actually writes the correct new patch for 4.6.1 I'll use this for now).
